A flamboyantly eclectic anthology that explodes the myths about the lines which divide us - the heterosexual from the homosexual, the normative from the 'alternative', the phobic from the obsessive, the moral from the titillating, the academic from the activist. Brinda Bose teaches in the Department of English, Hindu College, Delhi University, and is co-director of the Centre for Feminist Legal Research, New Delhi. She has edited Translating Desire: The Politics of Gender and Culture in India. Subhabrata Bhattacharyya is Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as a member of the English Department, at Surendranath College, Calcutta University.
